CONNECT Windows

This guide is for Windows desktops on the CONNECT system.  If your Windows computer is managed by local IT support staff or self-managed, please read Getting Started with Chorus on Windows.

   1. Set up a Chorus OpenScape password

              

  • Note your OpenScape username.  This will be in the format SSO username-sip, e.g. ouit0423-sip

   2. Install the Unify OpenScape software

  •   If Microsoft Outlook is open, close it before continuing.
  •  Open the Oxford Applications Installer from the Start menu.
  •  Then click ‘Install Unify OpenScape Desktop Web Embedded Client V7R1.47’ , follow the steps, and wait for the installer to continue.

                

  • When prompted, enter your UC credentials. These are:

UC account – your OpenScape username from Step 1.  This will be in the format SSO username-sip, e.g. ouit0423-sip

UC password – your Chorus password, as set in Step 1. Make sure you enter the correct password: you will not be notified at this stage if your password is incorrect.

  • Click ‘Finish’. You will be notified when the installer completes.
  • Wait for the installation process to complete.

3. Connect to Chorus

  • Run the OpenScape Desktop Client from your Start menu or the desktop shortcut.

                

  • On first login, this screen will be shown:

              

              Enter your UC credentials. These are:

              UC account – your OpenScape username from Step 1.  This will be in the format SSO username-sip, e.g. ouit0423-sip

              UC password – your Chorus password, as set in Step 1.
