Configuring Outlook 2013

Existing users

If you already have an Outlook profile that is not working,  follow the How to remove and add a new profile to Outlook section of our troubleshooting guide.

New users

Please follow the guide from How to remove and add a new profile to Outlook before following the guidance below.

NOTE: These instructions apply for all vendor supported versions of software, so please make sure you are using the latest version.

To set up Microsoft Outlook 2013 to check your Nexus365 email account, follow these steps:

  1. Open Outlook 2013. You will be presented with the Welcome screen.
  2. Click Next to continue to the Account Setup wizard.
  3. Select Yes to set up an email account and click Next
  4. Enter your name, your full email address (e.g. and your password (created at account activation).
  5. Click Next and wait for Outlook to be configured. This can take a few minutes.
  6. At the Windows Security screen for Microsoft Outlook, enter your Single Sign On (SSO) username plus @OX.AC.UK (note the capitalisation) in the format abcd1234@OX.AC.UK and then your password (created at account activation) to allow Outlook to complete the setup process.
  7. Click Finish to complete.

Outlook 2013 is now configured to connect to your Nexus365 mailbox.

Opening Outlook 

If necessary, when you open Outlook, you will be prompted for your username and password. Enter your Single Sign On (SSO) username in the format abcd1234@OX.AC.UK (remember the caps!)

Outlook 2013 is now set-up for use with Nexus365
