What is Nexus365 Email?

Nexus365 email is the University’s most commonly used email system. All Nexus365 users have an email inbox quota of 50GB.

You can access your email through an email client such as Outlook, by logging in through a browser or through a mobile app – the choice is yours.

Using Outlook

Office 365 is designed to work best with Office 2016, Office 2013 and Office 2016 for Mac. Older versions of Outlook can still connect to Nexus365 but with reduced functionality and very old out-of-support versions of Outlook many need to be reconfigured.

For maximum performance, security and functionality we recommend that you use a version of Outlook that is still actively supported by Microsoft under ‘mainstream support’. You can check your version's support status on the Microsoft website.

Using a browser

The Outlook Web App (OWA) is slightly quicker (10 to 20 seconds) when receiving emails. This is because emails downloaded into Outlook have to pass through the local network, firewalls and protocols. Also, OWA only displays the email rather than downloading it.

Using a mobile app

Nexus365 email can also be access through a mobile app.

See Nexus365 email: Getting started for guidance on getting set up through these different routes.
