Adding and removing backup schedules

Add a backup schedule

  1. Go to the HFS Portal
  2. Click on your node in the list of nodes to take you to its node details page
  3. Select Actions... > Add schedule
  4. At the Add weekly schedule popup, select OK
  5. Ensure that the TSM scheduler service on your machine has started
  6. The exact time of the backup slot will be decided on the night after the day that you added the schedule.  To find out the time, see our FAQ item When is my scheduled backup due to run?

Remove a backup schedule

  1. Prevent your machine from continuing to connect to the HFS by stopping the TSM scheduler service
  2. Go to the HFS Portal
  3. Click on your node in the list of nodes to take you to its node details page
  4. Select Actions... > Remove schedule
  5. At the Remove weekly schedule popup, select OK
  6. You will no longer receive weekly e-mails about your backup schedule for the relevant backup account and must instead remember to back up manually
