How to change your CONNECT password

From a managed staff PC

  1. If working remotely or on WiFi, connect to the University VPN
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and select Change a password
  3. Provide your current password, new password* and confirmation
  4. Select the arrow icon

Through the password manager

  1. If you are on WiFi or working remotely, connect to the University VPN
  2. Open the password manager from either a:
    Web browser, by accessing the password manager
    Managed staff PC, from the sign in screen select Sign-in options > square key icon > Open CONNECT password manager
  3. Provide your CONNECT username (usually of the form abcd1234)
  4. Within the password manager select either:
    Manage My Passwords, then provide your current password
    Forgot My Password, then provide your security answers
  5. Provide your new password* and confirmation

If you cannot reset your CONNECT password through the above methods, please speak to the central IT Service Desk.

A managed staff PC's sign in password will only update when it is next connected to the University's wired network or VPN.
