Connecting to eduroam via iPhone/iPod Touch

1. Introduction

The following instructions apply to to using the eduroam wireless service on the iPhone 4 (or below) or iPod Touch 1st to 3rd Generation. Please note: this will only work if you have upgraded to firmware version 2.0.

  1. Turn on wireless ([Settings] then [Wi-Fi]). You should see a list of available wireless networks.

  5. You will be returned to the Wi-Fi Networks screen; this should show that you are now connected to Eduroam.
  6. To disconnect, simply turn the wireless off.

Note: When changing the password on the account you need to go to Setting -> wifi -> eduroam -> blue arrow / info symbol -> Forget this network. Then, when you try to connect to eduroam again, it will ask for your user ID and password.

If you are having problems connecting you might need to remove the wireless network and reconnect. You might need to do this, for example, if you have changed your remote access password or previously set up an eduroam connection.
