MWS-Devices Wi-Fi service

The MWS-Devices wireless network service is intended for students to connect devices unable to use eduroam, such as smart TVs or virtual assistants. The service is only available in buildings managed by the Managed Wireless Service.

To connect to the MWS-Devices network, you will need a Personal Wi-Fi Key. Select the Managed Wireless Service button to access the self service portal and generate a unique key that is tied directly to your single sign-on (SSO).

Please note that all usage under a key is monitored and is the responsibility of the SSO holder. Network usage is subject to the same IT Regulations as any other University network.

Currently there is no limit to the number of devices registered under one key, but excessive usage may be queried and may lead to that key being disabled or the limiting of device numbers in the future.

The portal can only be accessed when connected to the University network or VPN.

Any issues with the key or accessing the service should be raised with your local IT support team.
