Restarting the Storage Protect scheduler


To restart the scheduler on Windows systems:

  1. Select the Start menu, type Services, then select the Services app
  2. Right click on the TSM Client Acceptor
  3. Select Restart

To restart the scheduler on macOS systems:

  1. Run Applications IBM Storage Protect > IBM Storage Protect Tools for Administrators
  2. Select Stop the Client Acceptor Daemon
  3. You will be asked for your local administrator password
  4. Select Start the Client Acceptor Daemon
  5. You will again be asked for your local administrator password
  6. You should then see a confirmatory message reporting that the Storage Protect scheduler has started

To restart the scheduler for Linux systems:

Run the following from the command line as root:

/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/HFSscheduler stop
/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/HFSscheduler start
