Use Nexus365 email

Using a web browser

You can access your email via the internet by using the Outlook on the Web. This is useful when you are out and about, or working from home.

Accessing email

  1. Go to: https://outlook.office.com. This takes you to a Microsoft login page
  2. In the login box enter your Oxford username followed by @OX.AC.UK in capitals. You won’t need a password
  3. You will be redirected to the Oxford Single Sign-On (SSO) login page
  4. Log in as usual with your SSO account details
  5. You may be prompted for multi-factor authentication

Tip

Don’t forget that on the Microsoft login page you use your Oxford username followed by @OX.AC.UK – NOT your email address (clear any autocompleted text first).

Using an email client

Getting set up

Configure your email client of choice. Follow the steps at our configure email page.

Accessing email

  1. Open your email client (for example Outlook)
  2. Log in using your Oxford username followed by @OX.AC.UK (capitals are essential) and your Single Sign-On password. You’ll generally be able to save your password so it doesn’t need to be typed in every time
  3. You may be prompted for multi-factor authentication

Using Nexus365 apps

If you want to access other Nexus365 apps, as well as email, go to https://office.com and follow the same login process as using a web browser.

You can also get to the apps via the app launcher in Outlook (the ‘waffle’ icon at the top left).

Tip

Forgotten your SSO password? You don’t need to contact the Service Desk – you can reset your password on the Manage your Oxford Single Sign-On account page.
