Nexus365 Email: Getting Started

Nexus365 email is available to you through three basic routes:

  • via the web, using the Outlook Web App (OWA)
  • via an email program (client) installed on your computer
  • on a mobile device

Email via the web

By using your normal web browser (such as Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome or Firefox), you can access your mailbox, send and receive emails, and access your contacts and calendar.

You can access your email in two ways:

  • Log in to your Nexus365 account and click the Outlook icon on your Nexus365 app launcher (the waffle), or
  • Log in directly via outlook.office.com.

Email via an email program on a desktop or laptop

You can use an email program (called a ‘client’) installed on your computer to get access to your email.

If you use a Microsoft client, such as Outlook, you get access to additional features including calendar, address book and to-do lists. You can also share and delegate access to your mailbox and calendar.

Before you start using Outlook, you will need to set it up to work with Nexus365. Choose which email client you want to use and follow the instructions below.

Windows email clients

Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 are best for professional email, calendar, contacts, and task management.

Mail for Windows 10 is a basic app with fewer features than Outlook.
