Sky WiFi (formerly known as "The Cloud") has been contracted to provide the University's public WiFi service.
Most Sky Wifi networks available in the University are called "TheCloud". You will need to create or use a Sky WiFi Roaming Account to access the service.
Please note that we recommend the following WiFi networks over Sky WiFi where you are eligible:
Security and Data Protection
Sky WiFi, not the University, is the data controller for any personal data submitted when registering for an account with Sky.
Data submitted as part of the registration process is only encrypted while you are registering or logging in. Sky Wifi does not encrypt data communicated over the network. We therefore advise that you only connect to websites beginning with https://, and use a VPN for connecting to other services.
Sky applies content filtering to the service in line with their terms and conditions, which means not all websites will be available.
